Biography

Glenn Kirby's 20+ year career includes work in almost every sector of sales and real estate - from residential retail real estate and property management to large-scale business development and consultancy for prominent investment sectors. 


His experience, approach, and impact has been a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit, his commitment to helping others grow, and his drive to pursue real estate opportunities that are interesting and innovative.


Glenn began his career in real estate in Charlotte, North Carolina but opportunity quickly took him to Greenville, South Carolina. There he started a brokerage firm, serving as both Broker and Managing Partner. Kirby and team grew the business to be the largest independent real estate brokerage firm in the area. In 2008, he transitioned his real estate experience to consultancy with a hedge fund that represented a portfolio of products and services for the gas and oil-fired combustion turbine facilities. 


As a licensed real estate agent in North Carolina and a native of Charlotte, Glenn returned to residential real estate with a locally owned brokerage where he became the General Sales and Leasing Manager.  That firm led him in 2015 to the largest real estate franchise platform in the country, Keller Williams. He followed the Keller Williams models and built a highly-leveraged sales team in Charlotte. While selling more homes than ever before, he grew a successful business but more importantly led him to meeting his Wife Kristen Bernard.  Kristen was also a very successful business who has a passion for serving others. Glenn and Kristen merged their businesses in 2019 and their families in 2020.  Kristen took over the Sales Team Business in 2019 and is in the top 1% of all agents in the Charlotte area allowing Glenn to pursue his passion in Leadership.


Glenn was hired as the Team Leader of the Keller Williams Southpark firm in 2019.  In just two years, the office experienced record-breaking numbers in both talent and sales thanks to Kirby’s leadership. Their office grew from 370 agents to 560 agents; and increased its annual sales to over one billion.


Glenn was offered Partnership in the Keller Williams Pinehurst, NC Franchise in 2021 where he became the OP.  That office through it’s talented staff and agents has become the #1 brokerage in the area and  has doubled it’s size since 2021. Pinehurst. 

With continued focus on growth and building businesses through leadership and focus Glenn continued on that path in 2024 partnering with the existing Georgia Legacy Group created by Andy and Lesley Peters to create the Carolina Legacy Group.  That group now Operates 5 Keller Williams Franchises in the Charlotte, Greenville, Columbia and Pinehurst areas with Glenn as the Managing Partner.  The Carolina and Georgia Legacy Group have a mission to be a place of stunning excellence that attracts, welcomes, and develops real estate leaders with world-class value.


Glenn and his wife Kristen are parents to four busy children; Laney, 16, Beckham, 15, Selwyn, 14 and Drew, 13. The family is actively involved in the KW Cares, Brody Man Strong-Be the Match, Second Harvest Food Bank, Go-Jenn-Go and St. Judes.
